A decent update! Who'd've thunk it? Today Sony has unveiled a full set of releases for your downloading pleasure. You'll find full games, trailers and themes/wallpapers. All in one update. That's something that hasn't happened for a while. If you enjoyed last week's release of Untold Legends for download, then you'll be happy to hear the sequel is now available too. Oh, and if you're wondering what happened to the European PC Store update post, there wasn't any new content. Sorry. Here's the full release list:
Untold Legends: The Warrior's Code full game ($14.99)
Disgaea fans probably jumped in excitement upon hearing the news that Prinnies would be getting their own game for PSP. Prinny: Is It Okay If I Am The Main Character? is the aptly cute pseudo-2D side-scroller which is also being released in North America. While fans may be squealing in delight over that, here's one more tidbit that's going to make your day: you can play the game now off a demo on the Japanese PS Store. If you can't download it or just plain old stuck at work and can't get to it until you're at home, then we're providing our very own impressions for your convenience.
Getting right into it, the demo was a short, one-level adventure taking us through scenery we've seen in screenshots previously (namely the one posted above). As you can see, the environmental objects are 3D models and there will be times when certain actions will cause the camera to shift into this 3D perspective; however, the game is mostly in the 2D perspective, side-scrolling from left to right. Before you start the level you'll be given two optional difficulties: either a "one-hit you're dead" game or a "three-hit chance." The number of hits you can take will be displayed by icons placed in the upper left corner of the screen. If you die, you'll use up a life point which are all displayed in the bottom left.

Following in the European Store's footsteps, two full PSP games have been placed on the American PC Store today. Not only that, but there's also a demo and a theme to grab. We recommend getting your paws on Puzzle Quest, as it's a great game to have on your memory stick "just in case," without taking up your UMD drive. Here's the full release list:

If you're a PS3 owner you're probably already celebrating the Burnout Paradise trophy patch, or the opportunity to pick the game up off the PSN Store for the budget price of £25/€30. Europe's PC Store update was sadly non-existant today, but America actually has the first decent update in a little while. Two full games are available from D3 Publisher, following their announcement of releasing a decent number of games onto the PSN Store over the next few months. Here's the full list:

The American PC Store has been updated to include the full PSP title Field Commander. So if you're in the impulse buying mood, you can go ahead and pay the $14.99. It's online shopping and it arrives almost immediately. Depending on your internet connection, obviously. Only one other thing was added to the US PC Store today; a developer walkthrough for the upcoming Lucasarts title Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. That's free, in case you're wondering.
Finally! D3 Publisher, we applaud your decision to bring your PSP catalog to the PLAYSTATION Store. You're not bringing just one obscure game onto the Store -- you're making available a number of games, from big-budget releases to obscure cult classics. Best of all, you're making them available for cheap! Here are the releases:
Wallpapers! You like them? Good, because that's all your getting in your PC Store update today. Not just one, not just two, not just (ok, that's enough - Ed). Nine entire wallpapers are now available, for your downloading pleasure. That's nine whole images, that Sony has uploaded to the store. How's that for a quality update?
Don't get too excited. There's nothing of any real interest in today's PC Store update. That is, unless you're into managing your PSP's content via a handy PC application. The Media Manager (version 2.5, no less) is now available for free on the European PC Store and lets you drag and drop content from your PC to your PSP, previewing as you go. Americans won't be fixing pipes in their PC Store update. Instead, they'll get their hands on a series of wallpapers and themes, some even cake-related! Who doesn't like cake?

The only time we ever saw a PLAYSTATION Network card was when Sony gave us one for Christmas. Never -- not even once -- have we seen these cards available at a retail store. This is easily one of the most demanded items from our readers, many who don't have a credit card to use for the PSN. Thankfully, support for these cards will expand in September to stores we've actually heard of.
According to the PlayStation website, these pre-paid cards can be found at Blockbuster, 7-Eleven and Rite-Aid this September. So whether you're renting a movie, drinking a Slurpee, or buying some condoms in a rush -- keep an eye out for these PSN cards.
It's a pretty solid content update for this week. It's much better than what we're used to, that's certain for sure. Lap it up folks; grab what you want. Here's the full list:

Street Fighter Alpha is the gem at the top of today's rather pathetic pile of treasure. Unless you're a fan of themes and wallpapers, that's actually all that will interest you.
